Dr Alasdair Gregor McLean is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Adelaide. He works as an experimental physicist in the field of direct dark matter detection, including experiments like CYGNUS-Oz, CYGNO, and SABRE South. He previously led R&D for charge readout in Negative Ion Drift gases in the CYGNUS-UK group. He has extensive experimental experience in the field, having previously worked at Boulby underground laboratory on the DRIFT experiment, and a significant collaborative history working with international laboratory groups, including those at Kobe University and the University of Hawaii. In addition to his work in astroparticle physics, he has relevant industry experience in both environmental physics and defence.
