Caterina Doglioni

Caterina Doglioni is a professor at the University of Manchester and a member of the ATLAS Collaboration at the LHC.

Her research interests include searching for new physics phenomena that can be produced in proton-proton collisions, motivated by the presence of dark matter in our universe. She leads the REALDARK project, funded by the European Research Council, and together with post-doctoral researchers and students, she is looking to understand the nature of dark matter and discover dark sectors using collider data. She is particularly interested in how different dark matter experiments can complement each other towards a discovery. Caterina coordinates the SMARTHEP network on real-time analysis, machine learning and heterogeneous computing infrastructures, and she is keen on FAIR, sustainable and green software.
