Karl Jakobs

Professor Karl Jakobs (Uni of Freiburg) has been the chair of the European Committee for Future Accelerators and spokesperson of the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. He is an experimental particle physicist with a well-established career using detectors situated at particle colliders. When not present full-time at CERN, he leads the particle physics group at the University of Freiburg.

Within the Centre, he provides strategic guidance to ATLAS collaborators, providing support to the Centre’s investigations into measuring dark matter production at colliders and the understanding of the particle nature of dark matter.
