The Positions
The ANU is helping to build Australia's capacity for the responsible use of nuclear science and technologies. As Australia’s only national university ANU commits to deepening its world-class research and education in fields essential for responsible use of nuclear technology. In order to lift Australia's scientific, technical, regulatory, and industry capacities in nuclear and radiation science and technology, and to strengthen Australia's role in international frameworks of technical cooperation, non-proliferation, nuclear security and safety, the Research School of Physics is seeking to appoint a research-intensive academic to coordinate aspects of nuclear stewardship within a University-wide centre.
Each of the three Colleges, College of Asia and the Pacific, College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics and College of Science aim to appoint at least one appointment.
The Person
We are looking to appoint multiple academic appointments who will make a significant contribution to the Department Nuclear Physics and Accelerator Applications (NPAA) at the international level. You will have a PhD in Nuclear Physics or a related area, with a strong track record of independent research in or more of the areas of nuclear physics and accelerator applications and a record of winning bids for competitive external funding to support individual and collaborative research activities.
