Richard Garrett

Dr. Richard Garrett is Senior Advisor, Strategic Projects, and Manager, Industry and External Engagement at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO).

With over 30 years of post-doctoral experience in research at major synchrotron facilities in the United States and Japan, in addition to the Australian Synchrotron, he is a key figure in ANSTO’s role as operator and now owner of the facility.

Within the CDMPP, Dr. Garrett will contribute to the research program of the Centre by coordinating ANSTO’s contributions, including the design and fit-out of the ANSTO-operated low-background laboratories (Germanium detector rooms) at SUPL.

With regards to the Centre’s outreach activities, he will utilise ANSTO’s international relationships to provide unique opportunities for training and outreach.
