Making Dark Matter come to Light

Making Dark Matter Come to Light

While we may not know exactly what Dark Matter is yet, we do know that light plays a big role in not only proving its existence but helping us uncover its mysteries. DESY’s “light through the wall experiment” ALPS II, as well as the SABRE project, both rely on the production of light to signal contact with these mysterious particles.

We are all, through our participation in the Centre's research, committed to bringing this elusive Dark Matter to light through light - a truly scintillating endeavour!

We encourage you all ponder the ways in which light intersects with your work - whether a reaction or instrument in a lab, pixels on a computer simulation, rays of sun on a whiteboard - and channel your creativity into producing a winning photographic artwork.
