Astroparticle physicist, Professor Céline Bœhm has worked in the UK, France, and Switzerland before her appointment in 2018 as the (second female) Head of School of Physics, University of Sydney.

She was elected as a Fellow of UK’s Institute of Physics in 2015, recognising her significant contributions to physics and demonstrated impact in her field.

Professor Bœhm's work within the Centre will focus on modelling, data analysis and the interpretation of possible signals. These will bridge theoretical and experimental aspects of the Centre's programs, providing insight into what we might look for, as well as how best to search for evidence of dark matter in experimental results.
